With reports suggesting that 70% of the jobs that present day students would be expected to do 10 years from now – not even existing today – how would we still remain relevant in the future – if we insist on following the traditional methods of learning? So, how would we be able to ‘cope up’?

Steps We Do While Studying Include
Step 1
Open books & READ
Step 2
Underline important words & MAKE NOTES
Step 3
MEMORISE these somehow
Step 4
Review old question papers & HOPE that similar questions are repeated
Step 5
PRAY – that we are able to recall the answers during Exam time.
Let’s find out our present levels
Speed Of Reading
The TIME available for reading has decreased (thanks to increased travel time & that spent on Social Media) on one hand, while on the other, the quantum of information to be absorbed has increased exponentially (thanks to the internet)..
Fun Fact: As per UN Standards, to be called ‘Functionally Literate’, we should be reading at (at least) 400 words per minute..
Myth 1: Read each and every word SLOWLY..
2
Linear Note Making
Most of us believe that understanding guarantees recall.
The next slide has 30 commonly used words – written in the way we’ve been told to make notes.. {single colour only words.}
See this slide for 20 seconds only & then let’s check..
1
2
You understood all the words…
Would you like to guess how many are you able to recall ‘just now’?
How many would be able to remember after one hour?
Myth 2: Understanding implies Recall..
3
Let’s explore if there is a better way
Stage 1
We’ve seen that the traditional way of note making is not very effective.
Let’s see if we can do something better.
The same 30 words are now displayed to the same Brain (You) for the same time of 20 seconds… but, in a different way.
Now let’s see what happens…
1
2
Now – how many words were you able to recall?
Was it more than the previous Linear way?
Was this easier to understand AND recall?
Would it help if you are trained to convert your Linear notes to a more effective way of making notes?
3
Stage 2
Let’s do another experiment:
Think of any word say, ‘Food’ or ‘Car’.
Close your eyes for 10 seconds..
What did you see?
1
Did you also see an image – with some shape & colour?
Well, this is the natural way for the Brain to work..
So, if in the previous image we add colour & images…
Would it make a difference to are ability to recall? Let’s check
2
3
Did you notice a marked improvement in the number of words remembered now?
The same words, for the same Time, to the same Brain! Just the way information was fed to the Brain was tweaked
Step 3 – Note Making: How well did you do?
4
This is a simple yet powerful ‘Brain friendly’ way of feeding any and all of your information to your brain..
And this is called a ‘Mind Map.
You could convert 5-10 pages of Linear text onto a single sheet! This increases understanding & recall-ability while saving revision time!
5
The only way for students to
receive credit for their answers is -
'if they can recall them...
... while taking the exam'.

Student
Ms. Shivalika Maheshwari
I am able to complete my studies faster and this helps me get enough time for acquiring additional information and also for just chilling out at times. My understanding power and scores have improved a lot. I have become more curious and have now started to enjoy my studies (which is a BIG change in me!)
Educator
Ms. Sangeeta Sidhu
The techniques have been popular since many decades now.
The App has just made them easier to understand and students are able to implement them irrespective of the standard in which they are studying or the professional course that they’ve chosen. These are the most essential skills needed for them to survive in the future.
Executive
Mr. Nikhil Patel
The way the techniques are explained helped me implement them and see the improvement almost instantly! I am able to contribute to discussions better as I am now better informed & have increased clarity of thought. I have been able to save an hour or two everyday – which helps me enjoy a better work-life balance as compared to my colleagues.

The 15-20 minute duration of each of the 3 extremely powerful videos is just about right – keeping in mind the ‘attention span’ of students now-a-days. I’ve seen an increased level of concentration, creativity & confidence in my daughter.
